Another one of "classic rock's" musicians has unexpectedly gone silent.  No more will we hear Mark Abrahamian's strings.  He was the lead guitarist for "Starship" and lived in Austin.  Most of you know the heritage of the band as "Jefferson Starship", and before that, "Jefferson Airplane".  He also rocked the big time with "Toto", "Loverboy", and "AC/DC".

Back in the day, a concert featuring "Starship" as the opening act for "Survivor" and "Boston" would only come to light at a festival venue, yet on September 3, 2012, under the lights of Norfolk, Nebraska, these three epic music players would all be on stage for a two hour trifecta showcase.

Little did anyone know that Abrahamian, who joined the group over a decade ago, would be playing his last riff.

While reports fail to mention any health related issues, sources says he complained to his fiancee, (Texas resident Dianna Burley) about having chest pain.  He was talking to her on the phone after the concert when he suddenly collapsed.  They were scheduled to be married in December.

Mark Abrahamian was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.  He was just 46.
