Cinemax is getting back into hard-hitting action, and there’s no better series to lead the charge than a revived Strike Back. See Season 5’s reboot in (figurative) action with a first production photo, and new details of the Jordan-Hungary shoot.

Now filming Season 5 with its all-new cast, Cinemax and U.K. collaborator Sky released the first new Strike Back photo, featuring Daniel MacPherson as Samuel Wyatt, Roxanne McKee as Natalie Reynolds, Warren Brown as ‘Mac’ McAllister and Alin Sumarwata as Gracie Novin. Season 4 writer Jack Lothian serves as head writer and showrunner, alongside developer Andy Harries.

So reads the ten-episode revival’s new synopsis:

Disavowed and disbanded, the Section program is restored in order to track down a notorious terrorist following a brutal prison break. Tasked with covert military intelligence and high-risk operations, the resurrected unit embarks on a lethal manhunt that will uncover a vast web of interconnected criminal activity. As the team journeys across the Middle East and Europe, they uncover a deadly conspiracy which threatens to overwhelm them all and change the face of modern warfare forever.

Cinemax’s update didn’t offer any word of an official premiere (or potential Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton returns), but check out the photo again above and stay tuned for the latest.
