After years of planning, studying, talking, and more studying, I-69 in East Texas is closer to becoming a reality.
The final proposal has been presented to the Texas Dept. of Transportation, and now the project is entering into the public interaction phase.
There's a meeting planned for Tuesday in Nacogdoches to gather more public input and share the plan for the new Interstate.

Don't mean to be sour grapes, because re-paving of the road will be a nice gesture to my tires, but in the meantime, the loose rocks for over three miles is tearing up the under carriage of my lime green 1974 Pinto, not to mention the pebbles being unleashed at ramming speed by other motorists -- all in point-blank range of my windshield!
