Based on the line at my early voting site, the turnout for this election is going to be huge. Once you get inside the polling location, you'll find two small surprises.

It won't turn out this way for everyone, but my early voting experience was so quick I couldn't believe it. Even with this record turnout so far in Texas, I was in and out in no time. Next week will be a busy one so vote today if you want to save time. You've got four locations in Angelina County to choose from.

Let your opinion be known! Early voting starts today and runs through next Friday, February 28th. And when you go to the polls, you'll have to have a valid ID, because of the voter ID law that was recently passed.  What counts as a valid ID?

There is no Presidential election this year, and that may mean fewer voters head to the polls. But election officials remind us that each vote counts, and there are still several important issues on ballots across East Texas.
