The price of cigarettes has increased. Smoking has been banned from quite a few bars and restaurants. There's a lawsuit that's trying to get smoking removed completely from movies that target kids.  Is smoking so marginalized that we've almost seen the end of it in Lufkin?

The cost of a movie ticket varies of course, depending on the time of day that you go and whether it's showing on a premium screen like an IMAX. But overall, the price to see a flick is going up at Lufkin Mall and Cinemark Lufkin 12. Here's how much cash you should have in your wallet for that movie date this weekend.

If you're with me on the love for Tina Fey, you probably skipped the Zootopia line over the weekend and saw Whiskey Tango Foxtrot instead. If anyone can make a war zone funny it's Tina Fey.  But do we want to? Here's the thing.

We are getting ready for night one of Free Movies In The Park (Wednesday Oct 7th) at Ellen Trout Park. We gave everyone a few helpful hints and basic rules of the night last year, so I'm just posting these tips again to make sure everyone has a good time.

The cast for Hotel Transylvania 2 is incredible!  It's one of those movies that will have a bunch of recognizable voices behind the animation, but placing the human actor might drive us crazy if we don't know ahead of time.  So here's the cast list.

I'm a sucker for a good scary, horror flick! All the classics, Jaws, Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th, Halloween, Hellraiser, etc. Every Friday, or maybe Saturday night I had friends over to the house to watch something together. Our girlfriends would scoot a little closer, and that was pretty cool.

This girl REALLY liked Jurassic World.  She liked it so much she cried hysterically for fifteen minutes, fell in head-over-heels in love with the raptors, and gave it a 15 out of 10.  There were a couple of parts that she said were "stupid" but for the most part she was insanely over the top about this movie.  And her loving husband rolled the camera on it.

It may have been the movie that jump started Matthew McConaughey's career after meeting the director, Richard Linklater, at a hotel bar in Austin. He ended up in the first Dazed and Confused movie, but will he be in the sequel?

Hmm...I don't see Tammy anywhere on this "best of"  list.  I love Melissa McCarthy and I would see that movie again.  I just can get enough of her singing off-key in the car. Rolling Stone magazine has released its list of the Top 10 movies of 2014.

Furious 7 won't be out until 2015, but fans are eating up the preview.
