In anticipation of the new Batman movie coming out this Friday night, we rented “Batman Begins” on demand from Suddenlink tonight.  Got about 10 min in and “the daughter” (she had never seen it) had to go take a shower, so I am waiting and I thought I would let you know about something cool going on at Carmike Cinemas this Thursday night.

Looks like The Viper is making an appearance in ‘The Wolverine,’ the upcoming sequel to ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ and she’ll be played by none other than the stunning Jessica Biel.

A restored and remastered edition of the animated Beatles film ‘Yellow Submarine’ will be making the rounds at movie houses around the country prior to its June 5 release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Beginning May 5, ‘Yellow Submarine’ will make its way across the country for brief, limited engagements.

While it’s not scheduled to hit theaters until June, the trailer for the film ‘Rock of Ages‘ was just made available, and it features a pretty great soundtrack for fans of ’80s rock ‘n’ roll. Journey, Poison, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi are just a few of the bands featured in the clip below.

Tragedy struck Thursday on the set of Sylvester Stallone’s film ‘The Expendables 2′ when one stuntman was killed and another was seriously wounded. The accident happened during a stunt involving a bomb explosion in an inflatable boat at the Ognyanovo dam, about 15 miles outside the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

Clint Eastwood told reporters in 2008 that ‘Gran Torino’ was “probably” his last on-screen appearance as he was preparing to retire from acting. Now it looks like that isn’t the case. According to Entertainment Weekly the 81-year-old is currently in talks to star in the baseball drama ‘Trouble With the Curve’ as a veteran scout losing his vision.

A reboot of the oft-quoted 1983 cult classic ‘Scarface’ is being developed by Universal. There is no timeline for the release of the film, at this point, since potential script writers are being considered. Universal doesn’t intend the film be a sequel or a remake, but rather a re-imagination that draws from the themes prevalent in both Al Pacino’s notorious version of Scarface and the original 19

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maverick, Goose and the rest of the ‘fly boys’ will land back in movie theaters in 2012 when ‘Top Gun’ is re-released in 3D.
