Police Release Names of Three SFA Students Killed in Wreck

State police say the driver of the car that collided with an 18-Wheeler Saturday night had been drinking.

Three Stephen F. Austin students were killed in the accident, and one was injured. Blood test results are still pending, but police think the driver, 19-year old Kevin Garcia, was under the influence of alcohol when he attempted a u-turn from the shoulder of the road, and entered the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler.

Nacogdoches Police Investigate Dead Body

9-1-1 false alarms are nothing new. We’ve heard of kids dialing 9-1-1 when there’s no emergency, and we've heard about people calling emergency dispatchers for all the wrong reasons, liked burned hamburgers at fast food restaurants and things.

But have you ever been driving on Highway 59 or Highway 69 and accidently butt-dialed 9-1-1? In the age where everyone has a smart phone that’s always at the ready, accidental pocket-dials to emergency officials are a growing problem.

The City of La Porte (Texas) police department website says "...a professional organization that prides itself in delivering the highest level of service possible."

Inspecting their unsolved crime log dating back to September 2011, it appears that burglary is the crime of choice, but this cop blotter actually looks great compared to other cities in the country with similar population.

So, on the surface, after getting a first hand glance at potential lawlessness, La Porte, may be a nice place to settle down and raise a family.

Nikki Sixx‘s youngest son, Decker, is back home (sweet home) after a family argument sent him running to a friend’s house — and after Nikki called the cops to report the boy missing.
