If you bought a 40-inch flat screen TV over the Thanksgiving shopping weekend, you matched most East Texas shoppers. Each of us spent a little under $300 over the Black Friday weekend, but that's only a third of what our holiday shopping total will be.

Walmart store managers in some parts of Texas make $92,000 per year.  At Kohls, some store managers are making $87,000.  Target store managers can make more than both.

I know, I know.  More shopping.  It's been one big sale after another for the past few weeks, and it's all under the tree now. But there are some things that are better purchased after Christmas, and these are the top items.

You may be able to walk into a liquor store owned by Walmart soon in Texas, under a new bill that Texas lawmakers are considering.  It would allow the big publicly traded retailers to open liquor stores right next to their big box locations.  You can buy beer in Walmart now, and this would make it possible to buy vodka at a shop right next door.
