Nice job Lorne Michaels. Saturday Night Live skipped the usual fun monologue on Saturday Night to pay tribute to those that lost their lives Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut. One of the great holiday memories from the ‘Saturday Night Live’ of the 1990s is the ‘I Wish It Was Christmas Today” song that Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan and Horatio Sanz used to perform.

This year, our holiday wished came true and we got to see it again last night when Fallon hosted the show.

Steve Martin surprises in Alec Baldwin's SNL Monologue

Prior to Saturday night, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were tied at 15 for the number of times they've hosted Saturday Night Live.

Now Alec moves ahead of Steve with Saturday Night's 16th hosting gig, but that doesn't come without a surprise appearance by Steve himself. And has he tests Alec for performance enhancing drugs, we hope that's a lemonade sample he's drinking. Yikes! A monologue full of surprises! Check out the video.
