As of early June, it was announced that Yates Media would no longer be broadcasting Lufkin Panthers sports on their station, after 70 years of doing so. Townsquare Media has taken over that position - giving Q107 basketball and baseball broadcasts, and football to our sister station KICKS 105.

Gary Ivins will start broadcasting a sports show weekday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Q107 in July- focusing on providing high school football news, coach interviews and play-by-plays.
