The USO is premiering a music video today from The Doobie Brothers.  The clip is for the song "Far from Home," from the band's most recent album, World Gone Crazy, and touches on the subject of when a son or daughter leaves home for the first time.

The video features real-life fan-submitted footage of servicemen and women returning home to their families, as well as footage from Doobie Brother Pat Simmons' video archive.  The video can be seen at USO.org/thedoobiebrothers.  The band is also screening it at their concerts this year.

According to the USO, the Doobie Brothers have been longtime supporters of U.S. troops.  In 1984, they toured with the USO 1st Airborne Rock 'n Roll Division in Guam.

Check out the behind the scenes footage of the making of the video.
