Guitar legend, Steve Vai was determined to set a new Guinness World Record today.  Despite all of his guitar talent, some people are still critical of Steve.

Today Steve Vai attempted to set the Guinness World Record for the largest online guitar lesson.  Vai hosted his free lesson at BerkleeMusic.com at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.  Due to the monumental possibilities this guitar lesson may have, Vai even garnered the attention of rock legend Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap to promote the online lesson.   Christopher Guest, who portrays Tufnel in the movie This is Spinal Tap, says his only criticism of Vai is that "he knows too much, frankly, and it's a bit annoying."

However, Tufnel still gives high praise to the master guitarist.  Here's a clip:
