What if you could work less than eight hours a day, and still get the same amount accomplished, or even more?

Here's the secret.

To be most effective at work, we're supposed to work for 52 minutes and then take a 17 minute break.  And when we take that break, we're really supposed to detach and let the brain get away from work and not think about it one bit.  So if you're co-workers are also your friends on social media, it might not be the best idea to spend your 17-minute break scrolling and liking on Facebook.  It's best to get away from them for awhile.

This is the concept of intervals that personal trainers use sometimes - go really hard and fast for short bursts, and make the rest times part of the workout.

The idea of long, frequent breaks is nice, but what if we get on a roll and it doesn't make sense to quit what we're doing?  Maybe we can double up on the breaks later.

I'm posting this at 8:52 and I'm spent.  Time for a break!
