Twisted Sister Plays Benefit Concert for Slain Police Officer

Twisted Sister played a Saturday night concert at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York — and it was all for a good cause.

This weekend’s show was dedicated to John Falcone, a Poughkeepsie police officer tragically killed in the line of duty on February 18, with all the gig’s proceeds going toward the John Falcone PBA Fund, the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Fund and Fallen Blue, a group that provides emotional and financial support to the families of fallen law enforcement officers.

A series of videos taken by spectators proved the guys rocked it hard — and that frontman Dee Snider seems to have recovered nicely from a broken finger and subsequent surgery suffered on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ recently.

Last year, Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero — who is no stranger to charity work — became the national spokesperson for Fallen Blue, and TS guitarist Jay Jay French told the Poughkeepsie Journal:

“We tend to do our benefits based on the proximity of the person and the place, the conditions, the circumstances, as it relates to us. This [show was] meaningful to the guys in my band, who have close relationships with various police departments.”
