Van Halen fans may have a reason to “Jump” for joy very soon.

According to the powers that be over at Rolling Stone, David Lee Roth is working with most of his former Van Halen band members and laying down material for a new record. There has been no official statement from the band to confirm or deny the rumors, but apparently, John Shanks who is allegedly producing the album sent out a tweet saying that the project is underway.

Michael Anthony will not be part of this album as he was replaced by Eddie Van Halen”s son Wolfgang four years ago. Anthony is already busy with Chickenfoot, the super group that stars former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Joe Satriani. They also say they are in the studio and have plans to tour this coming summer.
