History’s Vikings has grown popular enough to air the length of two full seasons for most dramas each year, and late November will see the decade-spanning warrior drama returning to Season 4. History has officially set a Season 4 return date on a new night and time of the week, along with a fresh synopsis.

Per the network’s official confirmation, Vikings will move to Wednesdays for the latter half of Season 4, premiering on November 30 at its new time of 9:00 P.M. So reads the new synopsis for Season 4b, which picks up with an elder Ragnar returning to his grown sons:

In the midseason premiere, Ragnar’s reappearance in Kattegat triggers a chain of events no one – except the Seer – could have ever imagined. He unexpectedly arrives home to see what has become of his sons and to handle unfinished business in Wessex with King Ecbert (Linus Roache). Meanwhile, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) plans a power play in Kattegat and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) prepares to fulfill his long-held dream to explore the Mediterranean in a sleek new boat built for him by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård).

Already renewed for Season 5, Vikings will also introduce ex-Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, setting up a major role for next year. You can check out the latest trailer below, and stay tuned for Vikings Season 4 to pick up on November 30.
