Well-Known East Texas Whataburger Worker Passes Away

SFA students had gotten used to seeing a particular worker at a Whataburger near campus, and were sad to learn this week that she had passed away.

Stella Boykin actually came to Nacogdoches in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, and she stayed in the area to make a life in East Texas.  A news release says she died from a bacterial infection of the heart in Dallas.

KTRE says funeral services for Boykins will be held on Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at Power of Word Ministries located at 1501 Industrial Blvd. at the corner of Hwy 59 and Industrial Blvd. in Nacogdoches.
