In today's lesson, we're discussing the do's and dont's of publishing material in the high school yearbook, where common sense should prevail on this matter, when considering journalism should be the focal point.

At Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas, school officials yanked the yearbook off the shelf -- after distribution.  Why?

Apparently, an adult(s) faculty adviser missed the all important proofreading assignment after offensive comments appeared in the school annual.  While no malice towards special needs students appears intentional, and being defended as an honest mistake, the derogatory exposure was enough to appall parents and students alike.
