You know me. You know that I've been keeping an eye on the new Peking Chinese Restaurant location in Nacogdoches. I've been driving by to watch the construction as it progresses, and I've kept up with Facebook to see when it would finally be opening up again.

Well, I finally got that answer.

In a post on the Peking Chinese Restaurant Facebook page, this was part of the announcement:

Dear Peking customers,

Thank you all for your patience. We are finally ready to reopen. The reopen date will be on Monday, June 15th at 11 AM.

It went on to tell the readers that for at least the first month, they will only be doing drive-thru and takeout orders, and it featured a picture of their new menu. If you are looking to view that, you can see it here.

But, the big news is...PEKING IS OPENING BACK UP! They've been closed since December 31, 2019, as they worked on building a brand-new location. Not renovating an existing building, but building an entirely new one from the ground up.

The new location can be found at 205 Creek Bend Boulevard. That's the road that goes between Dirt Cheap and the former Terrific Teachers Treasures store, and goes on down Sorority Row.

If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited. It will be different from the original North Street location, but it's still very exciting.
