Anthrax performed on Late Night With Seth Meyers in late August last year and now drummer Charlie Benante will be appearing on the show once again, sitting in as the latest guest drummer with The 8G Band, the show's house group led by Portlandia co-creator Fred Armisen.

Benante's stint on the show marks the second consecutive week that an iconic metal drummer has sat in on the talk show as Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain filled in last week (March 13 - 17). Anthrax announced the news by posting a promotional image on their Instagram page, which can be seen below. He'll be on Late Night starting tonight, March 20, through Thursday, March 23, and fans can tune in on NBC at 12:35AM ET.

When Anthrax were featured on the program over the summer, they performed the For All Kings cut "Monster at the End" and even got to meet famed actor Robert DeNiro. Late Night With Seth Meyers has a history of inviting metal acts on the show, having also spotlighted a performance from Megadeth as well as more of The 8G Band fill-ins, including Mastodon‘s Brann Dailor, Tool‘s Danny Carey, Deftones‘ Abe Cunningham, PrimusTim Alexander, Slayer legend Dave Lombardo and more.

Catch Benante and the rest of Anthrax on their co-headlining tour with Killswitch Engage featuring direct support from The Devil Wears Prada and additional support from Jasta and Code Orange on select dates.
