UPDATE: Austin Carlile has responded to our story in a tweet, confirming that he has no plans to replace Chester in Linkin Park.

Former Of Mice & Men vocalist Austin Carlile has begun teasing his return to music, and due to the nature of the content he has shared, fans are thinking that he could become the new vocalist of Linkin Park. He posted the following story on Instagram earlier today (Aug. 28), which features live footage from his time in Of Mice & Men with the words, "It's not over yet. The newest next chapter is coming." Carlile toured with Linkin Park in 2014 when Of Mice & Men served as support for their North American headlining tour with Rise Against. You can watch video of Carlile performing "Faint" with the band below. If the speculation is true, would you like Carlile as the frontman for Linkin Park?

Carlile was recently released from hospital care after being admitted due to complications from his Marfans Syndrome condition.
