Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ Fundraiser is Back March 7th

Imagine this: Having fun at an evening fundraiser with music, BBQ, raffles, a cash bar, and more. Also, imagine this: Helping out a local animal shelter. Put those two things together, and what do you get? You get Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ!

This year, Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin, from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

What is Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ?

If you haven't heard of this event before, I can fill you in on it. The goal behind it is really straightforward. Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ is the annual fundraiser hosted by the Kurth Animal Shelter Advocates to raise money to cover veterinary care costs for sick and injured animals in at the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter.

Important Info for Boots, Best Buddies & BBQ

Like I mentioned earlier, the event takes place on Saturday, March 7th. Doors open at 6:00 PM, then the official festivities start at 6:30. Tickets are $25 per person, and can be purchased at the door that night, or they can be purchased earlier at the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter. The address for the shelter is 1901 Hill Street in Lufkin.

That night is going to be full of different things - a silent auction, raffles, live music from the Glenn Lenderman Band (and dancing, if you want!), BBQ, a cash bar, and even more! Plus, all the proceeds go to a great cause - helping out the animals! Let's face it, that's a cause that most of us can get behind, right?
