If we're honest, there are lots of names that we wish would make their way into Nacogdoches to put on concerts. Specifically, into William R. Johnson Coliseum on the SFA campus. Right?

After doing some (somewhat) heavy-duty thinking, I've narrowed my list down to a few names. See if you agree with me.

  • Def Leppard: No surprise here. I mean, come on, it's my favorite classic rock band. I think it would be awesome to bring in Joe Elliott, Phil Collen and the guys into Nac to put on a show.
  • The Eagles: Again, pretty much a no-brainer. One of the most iconic bands in music history would be awesome in the oldest town in Texas. Plus, there's even a tie to Nacogdoches, considering that Don Henley was, for a short time at least, a student at SFA.
  • Bon Jovi: Now, we kind of fall into even more of a personal preference. I have no idea how a Bon Jovi concert would go over at SFA, I just want to see them perform in our area.

And these are just my top three choices. Obviously, there are lots of other choices that I could go with, if I had the resources to do so. However, let's start with these three. Who do you wish could come into Deep East Texas to perform? Let us know in the comment section below!
