In Texas, we're fans of our Buc-ee's. We don't even mind them being built in other states, as long as people understand that they will always have a Lone Star State beginning. With all the road construction that's being done in and around Deep East Texas, we had originally hoped that there would be a Buc-ee's built in our neck of the woods. However, with the latest announcements, it looks like we won't be getting one for the foreseeable future.

New Buc-ee's Locations for 2026-2027 Do Not Include Deep East Texas

According to an article from USA Today, of the three new locations set to open in 2026, only one of those is in Texas, and it's in San Marcos. It's set to open sometime in July. Then, of the eight locations set to open in 2027, the only Texas location is in Boerne. Past 2027, at least for right now, there aren't any new locations in Texas being planned at all.

RANKED: The 9 Best Locations for a Buc-ee's on Highway 59 in East Texas
