Cause for the Paws is Happening on October 3rd in Lufkin

You guys are all fans of pets, right? Specifically, dogs and cats? Of course you are! And, since you're already fans, you want to help those pets out, right? Of course you do! It just so happens that one of our local shelters has just the event for you!

Cause for the Paws is October 3rd

The Kurth Animal Shelter Advocates (KASA) group puts on all kinds of cool events throughout the year to help support the work that they do for the animals at the shelter. One of those events is coming up soon. Cause for the Paws - which you may have previously known as Night Howls - will be taking place on Saturday, October 3rd, from noon to 5:00 PM. It will be on-site at Kurth Memorial Animal Services, located at 1901 Hill Street in Lufkin.

That afternoon is going to be full of all kinds of cool ways to support the Kurth Animal Shelter. There will be BBQ plates and desserts, a silent auction, and raffles throughout the event. Also, adoption fees will be reduced to $30 that afternoon - just in case you want to leave the event with a new companion!

What Do Proceeds from Cause for the Paws Go To?

Of course, all the money raised from all the different aspects will go to a great cause. It will go toward veterinary care for the animals in the care of the shelter. It's not cheap, and they need all the help they can get.

If you're looking for more information, you can find it on the Cause for the Paws event page on Facebook. It's all happening on October 3rd!

Porch Geese in Nacogdoches

One of the latest trends in home decor is porch geese. But not just any geese - these geese are dressed up in all kinds of outfits. Take a look at a few of the ones I've found lately.
