Alana Robertson is Our Newest Community Rockstar

Well, we're wrapping up another week, and that means that we're also announcing a new Community Rockstar. This week's Community Rockstar is the founder of a local organization doing big things in and around Nacogdoches. Do you have an idea of who it might be?

Alana Robertson is Our Newest Deep East Texas Community Rockstar

This week's Community Rockstar is Alana Robertson! Alana is the founder of  Nac Safe Place, an organization in Nacogdoches that offers metal health and suicide prevention support.

According to the nomination that we received, "Alana has dedicated countless hours to improving the lives of those around her through advocacy, leadership, and compassion." They went on to talk about her work at Nac Safe Place, saying, "Her work has brought together healthcare providers, businesses, churches, schools, community leaders, and volunteers to address one of the most critical issues facing our communities today."

They also mentioned what her leadership and commitment looks like outside of her organization, saying, "Her impact extends far beyond the organization that she leads. She has become a trusted advocate, a compassionate listener, and a catalyst for positive change. Alana embodies what it means to be a community champion, and her dedication continues to make East Texas a stronger, healthier, and more connected place for everyone."

But one of the things that stuck out most from this nomination was this: "If I had to describe what makes Alana a true community rockstar, it would be her unwavering commitment to serving others. She doesn't just identify needs within the community - she takes action to meet them."

So, because of her commitment not just to Nacogdoches, but to the Deep East Texas community as a whole, Alana Robertson is our newest Deep East Texas Community Rockstar!
