Nacogdoches Teacher Savannah Garcia Named Community Rockstar

It's Friday once again, which means it's time to reveal this week's Community Rockstar. This week's rockstar is doing awesome things in Nacogdoches, specifically in the education field - that's right, we've got another teacher to add to the list!

Savannah Garcia is the Latest Deep East Texas Community Rockstar

The newest addition to the Deep East Texas Community Rockstar list is Savannah Garcia! Savannah is a Pre-K teacher at Fredonia Early Childhood Center in Nacogdoches, and she's doing awesome things there.

According to the nomination that was submitted on the Q107 website, Savannah "has overcome a lot at her young age. She is a pre-k teacher, and a full-time student." I've said it before and I'll continue to say it: Teachers are doing awesome things on a daily basis. I know I might sound a bit biased, because I have multiple family members and friends that are either currently teachers or have been teachers at some point. However, that doesn't change the fact that teachers deserve some - actually, A LOT - of recognition for what they do.

The nominator wrapped up their entry for Savannah with this: "She is making the community better one child at a time." And that is why Savannah Garcia is this week's Deep East Texas Community Rockstar.

Like our other rockstars, Savannah will be receiving a framed certificate from Q107 and Zion Auto Glass, along with a gift certificate to Lone Star Charlie's in Lufkin. If you know someone that's doing great things for Deep East Texas like she is, you can nominate them at the link below:
