‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Saves a Man’s Life in Netflix ‘Long Shot’ Trailer
We’ve all been “saved” by certain TV shows at one time or another, but rarely does one actually spare us life behind bars. See the incredible story of Curb Your Enthusiasm exonerating a man in the trailer for Netflix documentary Long Shot.
The September 29 documentary (just two days before Curb’s HBO return) follows the 100% real story of Juan Catalan, who was arrested for a murder he didn’t commit. Catalan had an alibi of attending a Los Angeles Dodgers game at the time of the crime, but it wasn’t until footage from an actual episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm emerged that he was able to confirm his innocence.
The documentary is directed by Jacob LaMendola, while the full synopsis reads:
An innocent man is accused of murder, leading his dedicated attorney on a wild chase to confirm his alibi among thousands of people in a baseball stadium. To tell the whole story, the search would lead him from the LA Dodgers, to a cellphone tower, to the office of the entertainer Larry David. On the night in question, television cameras happened to be positioned throughout the stadium, and captured a story of remarkable circumstance.
You can watch the full story for yourself on September 29, while Curb Your Enthusiasm returns for Season 9 on Sunday, October 1. Check out the teaser below, and stay tuned.
