Where do you go when you want to take a few days off from the hustle and bustle of life as a Vegas headliner? You head to the oldest town in Texas to sample some of the best BBQ in the world.

Derek Hough has been spotted in and around Nacogdoches before. This time he was at Brendyn's BBQ.

Hough obviously has excellent taste in BBQ restaurants. People come from all over to eat at Brendyn's, but we don't get many celebrities here in Deep East Texas.

What Is Derek Hough Doing In A BBQ Joint In Nacogdoches, Texas

He comes to town occasionally to hang out with some friends that live here locally. Rumor has it that he flew back out of town with those friends and headed to Europe today.

He currently has a Vegas residency at the Venetian called No Limit. He is enjoying a few weeks off from the show currently.

He will be back in Vegas after enjoying the start of summer all over the globe. He will be back at the show on Wednesday, June 1st. His residency goes all the way to September 10th, 2022.

Is Derek Hough Still On DWTS?

Derek had an off-and-on relationship with the show starting in 2007 that ended many times. He has been back to the show more recently as a judge.

He replaced judge, Len Goodman, in 2020. Dancing with the stars is no longer on ABC, but can be found now on Disney+.

We get very few stars coming to town here in Deep East Texas, and Brendyn's BBQ sold out of BBQ that day. Come back and soon, Derek!

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
