Deep Freeze Overnight For East Texas

California is on fire, and the east coast is in danger of tornadoes as they get what is left of our storms from last night. Deep East Texas is under a freeze warning. That's us, and between Halloween and 9am November 1st, 2019 we will dip into the upper 20's.Some more forgiving predictions for overnight tonight have us right below freezing at 31 degrees. The northern plains will have snow, just so all the weather can be represented.

The National Weather service has us at 27, the lowest I have seen.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

One of the coldest Halloween's on record, will get even colder after trick-or-treaters are done with their rounds. The first freeze warnings of the season are a good time to remember the three P's. Pipe's, Plumbing, and Pets. I like to throw people in there, but they are usually hard to forget. Things that were okay outside last night, are not tonight.
