Dave Grohl nearly had to return to the awesome stage throne that he lent to Axl Rose a few years back. The Foo Fighters frontman got tripped up momentarily onstage during their recent Welcome to Rockville performance in Jacksonville, Fla., and video of the mishap has just surfaced on Instagram.

The fan-captured footage below shows Grohl heading to the side of the stage, then making his way back to center stage. Along the way, he appears to briefly stumble upon a speaker, but he braced himself with his arms before he went tumbling down to the ground below. The fall didn't seem that significant, but it didn't take much for Grohl's mind to reflect on the tumble he took in Sweden back in 2015.

"I almost just broke my fucking leg over there," said Grohl to the crowd upon returning to the mic. "Here’s the way I look at it, when you get that close to breaking your fucking leg, that means it’s a good show." He added that there's already precedent that even if he did get hurt, it's not like he would go home or the band would stop. See the footage below.

Foo Fighters are catching a little breather, but will start another, ahem, tour leg, in Germany, starting off with the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals. See all of their scheduled stops here.
