Frankenmuth's own Greta Van Fleet is back with a new album and will be returning to late night television this week with a performance.

The band that gave us another reason besides Christmas and chicken to put Frankenmuth on the map, is set to release their new album titled  The Battle at Garden's Gate,   April 16th of 2021. The second single off the new album, “Age of Machine", dropped this past week. The band started working on the album during the summer of 2019.

To promote the highly anticipated, long-awaited second album, the band will be making a stop for a performance this Tuesday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Fans of the group, made up of twin brothers Josh and Jake Kiszka, younger brother Sam Kiszka and Danny Wagner, got a little taste of their new music in October when the first single off the new album, "My Way, Soon”, debuted on streaming services.

On their Facebook page, the guys describe the concept of the new album saying, "It’s an analogy. Each song is a theme. A magnification of different cultures and civilizations inside of this world searching for some kind of salvation or enlightenment.”

Although the band has had incredible success, they have been strong in supporting the community and charities in their hometown and around mid-Michigan. Most recently the band autographed a corset that was auctioned off the the annual Pink Night event for Hurley Hospital's Breast Cancer Navigation Program. The corset sold for just over $7000. They also signed a specialty guitar that was auctioned off for a fundraising event for the Frankenmuth Historical Museum.

Greta Van Fleet is no stranger to late night television. The Grammy Award winning rockers appeared on SNL back in January 2019 as well as the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in July 2018.

You’ll be able to catch their performance when “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” airs on your local CBS station December 8th at 11:35 p.m. ET .
