Good Weekend to Catch Some Local And Major League Baseball

The Texas Rangers are on the road this weekend at Minnesota, and the Houston Astros are playing in Miami against the Marlins. Have you seen the way the Marlins have been introducing their players? They're accompanied by women dressed as Latino showgirls. You won't see that everywhere. But we digress.

There's plenty of great softball and baseball to watch right here in East Texas this weekend.

In Junior College softball, Coastal Bend comes to Lufkin for a double header today at 3:00 p.m. against the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners. Galveston visits Angelina College Saturday at 2:00 p.m.. That will be a double header starting at 1pm.

In Nacogdoches, the SFA Lumberjacks will face McNeese State this weekend at Jaycee's Field- game starts at 3:00 p.m. on friday, 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. You can watch the game via Gametracker, or follow updates on Twitter.

In high school baseball, Pine Tree is at Hudson tomorrow at noon.

Grab a hot dog and cheer on the locals! The high school and college seasons are winding down, while the major leagues are just getting started. Just a few chances left to catch our East Texas superstars in action.
