The original Guardians of the Galaxy had a scene featuring David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream.” But did you know that Guardians director James Gunn wanted the Starman himself, David Bowie, to make a cameo appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Sadly, Bowie’s health declined, and he passed away before he could film a role for the film. That’s just one of the marvelous facts featured in the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies!

Those amazing Guardians makeups look great onscreen, but they take a long time to apply. Thankfully, the crew got better at makeup application this time around; Dave Bautista’s Drax paint used to take four hours to create; on Vol. 2, the makeup artists were able to get that down to just 90 minutes. Vin Diesel returns to voice Baby Groot, and even provides the character’s foreign language lines as well. For Guardians 2, Diesel recorded lines (or line) in 16 different languages.
