Happy Birthday to Alex Van Halen

Alex Van Halen turned 58 on Sunday.  During his lifetime he's been part of some of the biggest hits in rock history.

But he told VH1, when he thinks about Van Halen’s legacy, he feels it’s more about who they inspire and not about what they’ve left behind.  He thinks Van Halen tunes are timeless in much the same way Zepplin music is timeless.   And that gives Van Halen the chance to inspire the masses for years to come.

Van Halen is back in the studio working on a new album, we know that much.  When will it be released?  No one knows.  It's been in the works for the past couple of years, so we'll continue to wait patiently.
