‘Iron Fist’ Puts Its Best Foot Forward With New Colleen Wing Featurette

At least two constants can be found in the majority of Iron Fist reviews that made their way online this week. For one, Marvel’s final Defender stumbles out of the gate. Secondly, everyone loves Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing, so let’s get to know her in a new featurette!

Marvel released yet another extended featurette for the March 17 Iron Fist premiere, this once concentrating on Game of Thrones star Jessica Henwick in the role of Marvel’s “Daughter of the Dragon,” Colleen Wing. We’ll see Colleen take on plenty of challengers (as she slowly starts to tolerate Danny) this season, but might the character prove the fourth Marvel Netflix series’ breakout star?

So reads the Iron Fist synopsis:

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

Elsewhere, following the addition of Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum, past breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist would cast the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side, and a list of directors has been announced (including RZA!).
