Brookeland vs Slocum (all games at Nacogdoches High School)
April Thornton
- Game 1 - Thursday, May 7, 6 pm
- Game 2 - Friday, May 8, 6 pm
- Game 3 (if needed) - Saturday, May 9, 5 pm
- This series is for the Class A Region 3 Semifinal championship, but it could just as easily be for a state semifinal championship, as a strong argument could be made that these two teams are among the best four in the state. Last year, Brookeland lost by 1 run in the state championship game, while no other team in Deep East Texas has as many appearances at the State Softball Tournament as does Slocum (6). This has all the makings of a nail-biter of a series. The winner advances to play either Avery or Avalon.
Spurger vs Moulton or Leakey
- Spurger defeated Hull-Daisetta, 26-8, on Tuesday to win the Class A Region 4 Semifinal championship. They will now play the winner of the Moulton/Leakey series; both of those teams are ranked in the Top 10 of Class A.
