SFA Hosts McNeese In A Crucial Conference Showdown on Monday
Monday evening, the William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches will be the site of SFA Basketball's biggest game of the season...so far. In fact, when it comes to conference championships, this is SFA's biggest game in the past few years.
SFA Lumberjacks vs McNeese Cowboys
I can't remember the last time two nationally ranked basketball teams had a showdown at the coliseum. McNeese comes in ranked #15 in the national Mid-Major rankings, while the 'Jacks are #16. Last year, the Cowboys were the regular-season and tournament champs in the Southland Conference. This year, SFA is trying to spoil the party for the preseason conference favorites.

What's Riding On This Game?
SFA is in first place in the Southland Conference with a 12-1 record. McNeese is just one game back with an 11-2 record. The Lumberjacks' only league loss this year was a two-point defeat to McNeese in Lake Charles a few weeks ago. If SFA notches a win Monday evening, the Lumberjacks would be in the driver's seat for a conference championship with a 2-game cushion over the Cowboys. A McNeese win would make for a first-place tie, but the Cowboys would hold the edge over SFA thanks to the season sweep in head-to-head matchups.
Game Details
This huge game will tip off at 6:30 on Monday evening. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased here. The game will be televised on ESPN+, while the radio play-by-play will be carried on Q-107. The KICKS 105 Road Show will be broadcasting from the front of the coliseum beginning at 3:30, hyping up the game and encouraging folks to come out and support SFA.
McNeese comes into the game as a 2.5-point favorite, so come on out to the game and be loud. The SFA basketball team feeds off the energy from the fans. Axe 'em!
