
Brazos County Sheriff’s Office Just Nabbed One of Texas’s Most Wanted
The Department of Public Safety is reporting the arrest of one of their Top Ten Fugitives.
Details of the Arrest
Brandon DeWayne Gilbert, 35, was captured on Monday, July 14, by law enforcement with the Brazos County Sheriff's Office. The apprehension took place in North Zulch, located in western Madison County.

Working off investigative information, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office Deputies located and arrested Gilbert. He had been convicted in the past for Assault, Evading Arrest/Detention, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Gilbert has also been arrested for Robbery and Trafficking of Persons Under 18 for Prostitution/Forced Labor.
He had been wanted since December 2024, when warrants were issued out of Brazos County for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Recklessly Causing Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Individual.
Gilbert's arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.

Texas's Most Wanted Fugitive
Benjamin Hanil Song is the highest profile suspect on the Texas Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List.
Song is wanted for his alleged involvement in the July 4 attack on a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detention Facility located in Alvarado, Texas.' During this attack, an Alvarado Police Officer was shot and wounded.
On July 8, warrants were issued out of Johnson County for Song's arrest for Aiding Terrorism, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Public Servant, and Engaging in Organized Crime.
On July 9, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Song in the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth, after he was charged with Attempted Murder of a Federal Officer and Discharging a Firearm During, in Relation to, and in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence.
In addition to the $10,000 reward offered by Texas Crime Stoppers, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Song.
