What I can only imagine as a dream come true for any gamer, Round Top Texas teenager, Cooper Smith, at just 16 years of age, has just won a million dollars by beating almost a hundred other players in the popular game, Fortnite.

Fortnite is an online video game developed by Epic Games and released in 2017 which became an INSTANT MEGA success. With several versions of the game in play, Fortnite as a whole generated $9 billion in gross revenue by the end of  2019.

Cooper Smith and his partner, 19-year-old "Mero" Faitel of Michigan, won a million dollars at the 2023 Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship playing Battle Royale.
