(KNUE-FM) In the past, like so many people in Texas, I loved to stay up late drinking and wake up to do mimosas with friends.

It wasn’t a healthy lifestyle, but I thought it was fun back in the day.

But like many of us, the days of drinking for multiple days is behind me.

And it sounds like for many people in the younger generation they aren’t looking for a boozy breakfast to start their day, they would prefer a “wellness party”.

What is a Wellness Party?

According to KXAN, wellness parties are becoming very popular in the Austin area.

There is one coffee location that is gaining popularity due to these events, it’s called Coffee & Chill.

The idea started after a group of friends in California were hosting coffee and cold plunge meetups for about 20 of their friends.

The idea grew quickly and now there are gatherings in four cities with over 300 people in attendance.

It’s a Fun, Social Event, Without Alcohol

It seems like more people are looking to connect and make friends, but would like to do so without alcohol.

The three pillars to these events are community, cold plunge, and coffee.

How Much to Attend a Wellness Party?

These events that have been taking place in Austin cost $24 with all activities included.

The April event included mini facials, chocolate treats, protein ice-cream, wellness supplements, and B12 shots.

There was also a DJ who was spinning live music during the event.

I know it sounds crazy but I would totally check out a wellness party here in East Texas.

What about you would you go?
