17lbs Of Ecstasy Found In Nacogdoches Traffic Stop
A Houston man's bold claim that he did not do drugs was challenged by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) Deputies on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025. According to police officials, Donte Demond Brown, 44, is facing a mountain of felony charges.
A traffic stop revealed that his vehicle was more of a mobile pharmacy than pure transportation. If you ever drive through Nacogdoches, Texas on HWY 59/I69 South, the construction speed limit is so low that many do not comply.
45 miles an hour, on fresh concrete, with no workers in sight, results in more speeding incidents. Many are going 65, including Brown, who was caught speeding through that area.
Man Claimed To Have No Drugs, Found With Many Drugs
This supposed drug-free driver was pulled over, and deputies were treated to the smell of probable cause. The pungent marijana odor gave no clue that they were about to find the entire pharmacy.
Inside the car, deputies found drug paraphernalia and a bag of pills later identified as ecstasy.

Once officers found drugs in the passenger compartment, they turned their attention elsewhere. This initial sweep of the interior was only a prelude to the trunk space.
Trunk Doubles As An Illicit Pharmacy
According to NCSO, there was a staggering 17.36 pounds of multi colored ecstasy pills in 38 meticulously packed bags that were almost full to bursting. They also found 12 bags of methamphetamine, totaling over 11 ounces, and a 1-pound bag of generic "white powdery substance".
