
Lufkin’s Patron Grill Isn’t THAT Patron Grill
There has been a little misunderstanding about who the owners of the new Patron Grill in Lufkin are. There was speculation when we found out the name of the business that it could be associated with the Patron Grill in Livingston.
Recently in a social media post, they made it clear that the Patron Grill in Livingston, Texas is not associated with the Patron Grill in Lufkin. I did a story when we first saw the name go up on the side of the building.

I knew then that the owners of El Mariachi had bought the Old Red Lobster location. What I didn't know was if they knew the owners of the Livingston restaurant, and if this would be a collaboration. Now we have found out that is not the case.
Family-Owned Mexican Food Restaurants Aren't Into Franchises
Family-owned Tex-Mex restaurants are notorious for using the same names but not having anything further in common. If you haven't caught on yet, each Mexican food restaurant must be judged on individual merit.
Even if it's the same owner, the menu could be different. The cooks are different, and so are the bartenders.

They treat each restaurant as a home. If you eat there, you are family, and every home you go to is completely different. There has been no word yet to the public when they will open the new location.
