A viral photo is making the rounds on Facebook of a sign announcing a Chick-fil-A in Florida ducking Jeeps on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Jeep lovers across the country, who also can't get enough Chick-fil-A, are now clamoring to get one of these Chick-fil-A branded ducks.

Upon doing some research I found that this is not a regional or company-wide promotion from Chick-fil-A; it seems to be just certain local owners' locations. Chick-fil-A does a lot of one-off promotions and this one seems popular.

How To Get A Chick-fil-A Duck For Your Jeep

Some locations have ducked jeeps in the past. Some are doing it today, while some are promoting it on April 4, 2024 (4X4) Jeep Day. I saw still others that have it planned for April 10th.

It seems a purchase is necessary for some, but not all. Some locations offer the ducks to anyone who knows a secret code, regardless of their mode of transportation.

Copyright Issues Force Florida Chick-fil-A To Tuck Their Ducks

I wondered if this was a cross-promotion organized by Jeep (owned by the multi-national corporation Stellantis) and Chick-fil-A. That thought was quickly put to rest by a Facebook post by a Chick-fil-A in Port Charlotte, Florida.

They had to stop their upcoming event due to copyright issues.

Chick-fil-A locations could continue giving away the ducks, but will likely keep the word "Jeep" out of the equation going forward. This is one small local promotion that got out of hand, once it was featured in Jeep owners forums and on social media.
