Helpful Texans Are Planning To Recycle Their Eclipse Glasses

It was the day of the main event in Texas, and I didn't have eclipse glasses. Luckily my boss had gotten some online and brought them to the office on Monday. (Thanks Tracy!)

Until the day of, it wasn't a priority, and they weren't just passing them out in the streets. Waiting for them to fall into my hands, I got lucky.

I could have ordered them online or gone to any of the various places that had them. I had even written stories telling other people where they could get them, it just didn't happen.

Remote Villages In Latin America Need Your Glasses

A partial lunar eclipse will be visible in North and South America on September 18, 2024. The best views will be in northern Brazil near Sao Luise.

I could have been more diligent about getting my glasses to watch the eclipse, and easily obtained them. Children in remote villages, don't have that same access.

Your used solar eclipse glasses can be sent to Latin America for the children to see the eclipse there. Eclipse Glasses USA is asking us to send them our used gasses, and they will send them to the children.

Send them your glasses before August 1st, so they will make it before the eclipse.

Make sure that the glasses are free of scratches or damage. Recycle that pile of used glasses and give them a second life.
