Texas Town Shocked by Flying “Tortilla Tumbleweeds”
Well, this might just be the most Texas thing I have seen in a while. The Facts About Texas X page posted a video today of a runaway tortilla in Lubbock, Texas, and for some reason, I just can't stop watching it. You can view the footage for yourself by scrolling to the end of this article.
But be warned, because the video is hypnotic. You might not be able to look away!
Tortilla Tumbleweeds Roll Through Texas Town
So, after watching this video for an unhealthy number of times, I have deduced that there is more than one tortilla on the loose.
If you watch closely, you can see that the first tortilla tumbleweed makes it across the street safely. Then, from the same direction, another one blows into the frame. This second torilla is doing its thing, minding its own business, when a car comes racing down the road and rams into the little rascal. That second tortilla was never heard from again, as the story goes.

Who knows exactly where the tortillas came from? Maybe a delivery truck might’ve spilled them, while it could’ve been part of a local event. Either way, it gave people something to smile about.
The National Weather Service said winds reached around 45 miles per hour that day in Lubbock, which is definitely strong enough to send tortillas flying across town.
