
Texas Ranked a Gamer’s Paradise in New National Study
A new study says that gamers in Texas have it good.
I’m an '80s kid, so I grew up playing video games. And while I don’t play nearly as much as I used to, I do still find myself caught firmly in the grasp of a game from time to time (see EA Sports College Football 25).

But man, gaming has come a long way since the old Atari 2600. And I’m not just talking about the graphics and gameplay. Video games have gone from a hobby to an industry worth over $90 billion in the United States alone.

What Makes a State a “Gamer Paradise”?
Speaking of the US, not all states are equal when it comes to gaming. GamblingSites.com recently conducted a study to determine which states were “gamer paradises.” To reach their conclusions, researchers used factors such as internet speed, gaming conventions, gaming search interest, the number of esports pros, and streamers.
Texas Ranks #2 for Gamers Nationwide
Ultimately, Texas was found to be the second-best “gamer paradise” behind California. Fast internet speeds, numerous events, and a plethora of star streamers resulted in the Lone Star State’s high ranking.
So, keep that in mind the next time your internet is lagging while doing a little online gaming. Sure, it sucks when it happens, but it could be worse.
