Target Hosts Midnight Release for Taylor Swift’s Album in Texas

(East Texas) East Texas Taylor Swift fans could be among the first to grab a physical copy of her new album, "The Life Of A Showgirl", when it drops October 3rd at midnight, thanks to a special promotion at Target.

However, fans will have to travel to be a part of this special event.

Which East Texas Stores Are Participating?

Target has selected 500 stores nationwide to be a part of this memorable moment. Two of those locations are in East Texas, but not Tyler or Longview. The East Texas locations participating are the Target stores in Lufkin and Texarkana.

East Texas Swifties shouldn’t feel too left out; Shreveport and Bossier City aren’t hosting either. Only six stores in DFW will take part.

What Swifties Can Buy at Midnight

Taylor Swift has partnered with Target on an exclusive CD version of the album that comes in three different versions, each with unique artwork and some bonus content.

So Taylor's most loyal fans will be lining up outside the Target in Lufkin and Texarkana hours before the drop, dressed in Taylor tour merch with hopes of being among the select to get their hands on these albums and post it right away on social media that they were the first to have the new album!

"The Life Of A Showgirl" is Taylor Swift's 12th studio album, and it will be released on all digital platforms and available for download on October 3rd. True Swifties may pre-order it through her website now.

Swifties who are lucky enough to get in the store at midnight will be limited to purchasing four albums per person.

It was back in August when the superstar announced details on the new album when she made an appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason.

Since then, the Taylor Swift publication and promotion engine has been in high gear. We expect it to go into overdrive as October 3rd nears.

After all, this isn't the only thing she has going on at the moment; she's also in the beginning stages of planning a wedding, too.
