Being a Texan usually means you're proud, you're cocky, you're passionate, you're arrogant, you're protective, and maybe you're a little bit crazy too, which never really hurt anyone. Being all of these things at once creates character and your personality.
Being a Texan means you're able to say "y'all" in six different tones and be understood by those who are around you. Then when you hear it, you know EXACTLY the meaning in which it was intended!
While society wants to stereotype Texas and Texans for one thing or another, one thing is for sure, we love where we come from and we'll shout that pride out from the rooftops to the open fields of West Texas.

Texans are not subtle about their pride
As Texans, we will show our pride by wearing Texas t-shirts, jewelry, and belt buckles in the shape of the Lone Star State. We will also fly the Lone Star flag proudly.
Texans are also committed. During this time of the year, we'll drive all over the state looking for that perfect bluebonnet patch to serve as the background for our favorite family portrait.
Texans are a serious kind of people
When it comes to barbecue, we take smoking that brisket seriously. We take our sports just as seriously - we're all about Friday Night Lights in the fall and the Dallas Cowboys. Ok, some are for the Houston Texans.
