With warmer weather just around the corner, it's time to discover the great outdoors! Texans are already plotting spring break escapes, summer road trips, and really any excuse to get outside.

And if you’re looking for the perfect place to soak up the great outdoors, you may not have to leave the Lone Star State at all. A Texas Hill Country favorite has officially topped national rankings, proving once again that when it comes to wide-open skies, river views, and unforgettable getaways, Texas does it better.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the campground celebrated being number one in the country:

The recognition adds to a growing list of national praise. The property was also ranked among the nation’s most exciting RV campgrounds in USA TODAY’s 10BEST list in 2025.

This Is Camping Texas Style

Let’s be clear: this is not “sleep on a rock and fight a raccoon” camping. Camp Fimfo offers full-hookup RV sites, traditional tent spots, and cozy cabins- meaning you can enjoy the outdoors without giving up air conditioning.

But the amenities are where this place really separates itself.

Guests can also enjoy resort-style pools, an alpine coaster ropes course, miniature golf, pickleball, volleyball, river tubing and so much more!
